I read about this when I posted the UGR Gallardo. Here some more specs on this car:

The guys at Total Race installed custom-built CP pistons, Carillo connecting rods, ferrea valves and springs, custom valve guides and seats, custom camshaft, CNC-ported head, billet lower intake, dry sump and custom oil tank on the 5.0-liter V-10 engine. Then they bolted up a pair of Precision 7175 turbochargers that pump 35 psi of boost into the intake.
The car hasn’t been run on the track since it has hit 2,000 horsepower, but at 1,500 horsepower it ran a quarter mile in just 9.5 seconds at 270 km/h (169 mph) and it rips off a full mile in just 22.18 seconds – a world record — at 395 km/h (245.44 mph). At 2,000 horsepower, Total Race estimates a 7-second quarter mile and 20 seconds to hit a full mile.
AND I guess another big difference is that the Total Race Car uses the ProEFI. UGR, Dallas Performance, Heffners & LMR all use the MoTec ECU

Debatable -- The Total Race Lambo is ~2 months old, so it didn't participate in the Unlimited 500+ over the summer (when the UGR Lambo set both records at this year).

Here's a full description of the car off teamspeed.com from 11/29:
2008 Gallardo Superleggera tuned by Total Race out of Russia.

All of those modifications get the V-10 engine up to an eye-popping 2,000 horsepower – only 1,730 horsepower was measured, due to wheel slip on the dyno. The internal modifications and balancing allows the engine to reach a peak speed of 10,000 rpm.

Total Race then installed a new billet front differential, custom transfer case and electronics, which allows straight rear-wheel drive or 50-50 all-wheel drive. The final addition to the driveline is a set of custom gears inside the Lambo’s 6-speed manual transmission.

There are two videos of this impressive Gallardo, the one above is of the car on the dyno and the one after the jump is of its world-record 1-mile run.

Well they depreciate like nobody's business. You can get early build Gallardo's with less than 30k for GTR money. Problem is it's still a Lambo at the end of the day, so if something breaks, prepare to start crying

Since I posted the Record Breaking UR Lambo & this thread, I'm really liking Dallas Performance & their center exit exhaust

Turns out the Total Race kit started life as the UGR Stage 3. Motor went boom, so he took it to Total Race & basically said money was no object. They went to the Unlimited 500 over the summer & the car broke (fast forward to 4:50)

Based on the video the stance makes it look like a 4x4 with those tires on it... Call me crazy but between the 4x4 look and matte paint it looks like a redneck hot rod.

It's def sitting up higher then the stock stance.... Sure it's not helping the aerodynamics, but then again they're aiming for 2,000 WHP might & gearing for 270 MPH (theoretically)....

Personally I'd drop $90k for a nice '04, get the stock internal kit for $25k or so, and be satisfied. I may just do that.
