    • Porsche 991.2 GTS dyno results with AMS intercoolers, Vektor Headers, Sport cats, BMC intake, and Cobb Pro-Tune by JrTuned - 494 whp

Nice to see a FBO (full bolt on) 991.2 with GTS/X51 turbos plus a Pro-Tune. The tuner here is JrTuned who tuned this 911 GTS through the Cobb Accessport. Additionally, it was tuned on a Mustang dyno which is great for context which PorscheBoost will expand on below.

      Let's look at the graph:

The GTS/X51 turbochargers definitely flow better over the S and Carrera units up top as the car continues to build power.

Peak figures are 494 wheel horsepower and 473 lb-ft of torque at the wheels.

This is on pump fuel with full bolt ons although that term varies on if you consider inlets and a plenum upgrade bolt ons. Regardless, those are two parts that could still be added into the mix.

How does this amount of power and toque look in context against other tuned 991.2's with larger turbos? Well, it's over 100 whp and 80 wtq short of the PorscheBoost Project 991.2 Carrera with Tial M660 turbochargers on the stock headers and stock intercoolers.

We learn clearly here even X51 and GTS 991.2 owners can benefit greatly from a solid hybrid turbo upgrade.

That's pretty damn good for no serious mods. 500 WHP on a mustang dyno with a car that's quite light will rip a 991.1 turbo.

        Indeed.

Are there any videos that show a FBO tuned gts 991.2 ripping a 991.1 turbo?

I'm not sure there is, I'm theorizing based on the curb weight and power difference though.

991.1 turbo S puts down slightly less power than this and weighs 250-300 lbs more than a PDK GTS.

No. Needs to be done as people need to see it to believe it.

The header seems to help the spool as well.

Also, shout out to JR, now he is tuning these cars there is no reason to use anyone else for a Protune. He is an awesome tuner and knows his $#@! especially boxer motors.

Wish they did an overlay... but that is good spool.

I'm not sure what Payam's specs are now. Bolt ons?

Anyone want to guess odds on who wins?

Wow! So what shall we see the same car on a dynojet, 550 whp? X-51 is a serious level up from that of the base carrera or S.

I'm not sure. Wish we could see a direct comparison.

I think the S' turbos will reach it's potential at slightly above 500whp dynojet power.
I don't know if they remove the bumper, IC inlets, that could add some significant power in the house. I'd really like to see the full potential of the car, such as 570+ would be cool for the GTS. However there is no point swopping an X-51 kit for similar amount of money, bigger turbo is still the way to go.
