    • SRM Garrett GTX3582R Gen 2 based BMW F87 M2 N55B30T0 hybrid turbo upgrade with 800+ whp capability coming - $2995

You might be thinking this sounds too good to be true but if you peak over on the AudiBoost side of the network you will see plenty of strong results for SRM (Silly Rabbit Motorsport) hybrid turbochargers. The core of the upgrade here is the same that SRM utilizes for their 2.5 TFSI hybrid turbocharger.

That core being the Garrett GTX3582R Gen 2. On paper this turbo should be good or 800+ wheel horsepower but of course supporting modifications, fueling, and engine internals concerns will come into play.

For those with an M2 that do not necessarily want to lose their rear end on a trade for an M2 Competition this turbo upgrade will make a lot of sense. The N55B30T0 torque curve and power delivery changes dramatically and in a positive way with a turbo able to flow a good amount of air up top.

At only $2995 it sounds like this may be the hybrid turbo to beat.

No word yet on if the standard N55 will have a similar upgrade.

Wait is this utilizing the stock turbo fold? Because it's way too restricting to make 800whp+

But otherwise dang this is awesome, great to see more options becoming available.

It's a hybrid but you would have to ask SRM about those details. It's just a suggested reachable output based on what the GTX3582R can do. Nobody has hit that figure yet on the M2.

I looked on their IG apparently it is the stock housing, so it's probably not going to make 800whp, at 500whp the stock housing seems to be making alot of back pressure so I don't know what the numbers would be for this turbo. But atleast it should be more efficient than current hybrids so it wont ramp IATS like crazy when pushing past 18psi.

Always good to see new options though, it's better with more competition. Plus it has a genuine Garrett CHRA so it should already be way more reliable than current hybrids.

Overall I'm very intrigued by this new contender but the VTT option has me most interested since they spent alot of time/money making a new turbofold.

We'll have more data with time. As you said, great to see more competition.
