    • BMW F87 M2 Competition making 625 whp on pump gas with Pure Stage 2+ S55 turbos

This is why the switch to the S55 motor for the BMW F87 M2 Competition is such a big deal. Making over 600 horsepower to wheels with a hybrid setup is something the N55 can only dream about. Someone please explain this to Car and Driver.

The M2 Competition does not give up anything to its F80 M3 and F82 M4 big brothers. It is just as capable:

Imagine if it was 300 pounds lighter?

Great looking curve there with more in it on race gas. The car also has a catless downpipe and Remus rear section. It is tuned for pump 98 RON so while this is pump gas it is a bit higher octane than what you can get generally in the US for gasoline. It works out to about 94 octane.

The M2 Competition is the best tuning value in the BMW lineup.
