    • World's largest VTG turbochargers? TTE1200 VTG turbo upgrade for Porsche 991.2 GT2 RS

Early this year TTE announced a TTE1000 VTG turbo upgrade for 991 Turbo models. PorscheBoost.com called them out for not providing any proof of their upgrade producing 1000+ horsepower. Here we go again with their new TTE1200 VTG turbochargers for the 991.2 GT2 RS.

Where is proof of a GT2 RS making 1200+ horsepower with these turbochargers?

To produce these turbos it looks like they replace the compressor wheel with a larger and lighter billet wheel.

Where is some data though? Where are some wheel measurements?

      Provided Specs:

      • Original BWTS turbocharger as the base part
      • TTE Billet Milled compressor 7+7 BLADE
      • TTE High-Flow 9 blade Turbine
      • 1200 PS Capable
      • Plug and Play installation for GT2RS (larger turbo intakes needed)
      • Proven TheTurboEngineers quality
      • Single parts finely balanced then components assembled and core high-speed VSR balanced
      • Supplied with a balance test result document
      • Made in Germany

These are a bolt in hybrid upgrade for the GT2 RS but TTE states you can use these VTG's on any 3.8 Porsche Turbo which likely means the 997.2, 991.1, and 991.2. You will need GT2 RS manifolds as well as new oil and water lines. The charge pipes and intakes are also said to be required.

TTE is charging over 16,000 Euros for this hybrid upgrade which is one hell of a markup. Hopefully somebody else produces an alternative as that is a ridiculous price.

It is definitely cool for a VTG setup capable of 1200+ horses to be on the market but let's see it in action for the kind of coin TTE is asking.

I can't imagine the lag on that thing, but I guess it's actually pretty cool. If they're able to hit close to the power they claim this will be huge for the tuning side of things.
