    • More 2020 Porsche 992 Carrera S test numbers - 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile, curb weight, etc.

Car and Driver got their hands on the new 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S by going to Europe to test it. The 992 is hot and putting up some impressive numbers. A recent GPS test showed us very quick acceleration in kilometers per hour but how do the mile per hour numbers tested by a US magazine stack up?

      They are very, very close:

An 11.3 @ 125 in the 1/4 mile stock is moving. 0-100 miles per hour in 7.2 seconds used to be elite territory.

The only downside is the curb weight. The car comes in at 3395 pounds even with carbon ceramic brakes. That means most will be over 3400 pounds and the C4S will likely be 3600+ pounds.

Are we looking at 3700+ pound 992 Turbos?

Even with the weight gain the performance of the 992 generation Carrera S is incredible.

Loving the numbers. Not loving the updated rear end. Hopefully 991.2 pricing will start to reflect the updates being out.

I feel no need to upgrade. I'll take the lighter chassis and separated lights. Not to mention an actual shift knob.
