    • BMW can't possibly be serious with the G22 4-Series Concept Design kidney grills

Why is BMW messing with a design aspect they have had down for their entire history? This all began with BMW going to giant kidney grills but the new 4-Series Concept takes this further by not only going big but reshaping the kidney grill into some giant flared nostril looking design.

It looks weird. It does not look very BMW. It just does not feel right.

There will be those who defend the style and no doubt will state it is necessary for increased airflow to cool the monster turbocharged motors that will eventually inhabit the engine bay but it sure has a face that is hard to fall in love with at first sight.

This design choice will no doubt be debated ad nauseum and it should be. Will it grow on BMW fans? Has BMW lost the plot? Is this the new 'Bangle Butt' debate?

      Ugh:

Beautiful car from every angle other than the front. Side and rear 3/4 angles look great.

Back to the design studio for the front center air intakes.

I actually like it, do them in gloss black would be awesome.

Love the edgy overall design, but I'm biased as I love the odd ball looking cars.

Like my new Dodge Ram the grill is ugly but I'm already looking into the plethora of different ones that are available.
