Nice! Is that your place? Our local bar here has wider selections also. They have to use ladder to get to the top...

Yeah, I've started since 2011, but really into it late 2013 and still remember this great bottle

    https://www.bimmerboost.com/showthre...116#post609116

As of late, I bought 2-3 different bottles every week/2-week so I've lost count all the names and need to come back here to see my own posts to keep track lol

    Another great Japanese brown water!

Thought I was done with Japanese whisky but this is another great find! Full aroma at the nose and extremely smooth! I believe the juices are from Scotland but they have been marinated in Japanese cask. A must have!!!

Ben Milam is decent. I posted a few pages back. I'm done w bourbon tho. Found Weller Antique and has settled w that (or Michter 10y). Weller Antique is amazing and even cheaper than Weller 12. Did not like Weller 12. Weird. Weller is wheat bourbon that the juice didn't quite make it to Pappy. For the price, $99, i will take it anytime (vs. Pappy). You need to try Weller antique.

This is the Ranger I have. I never buy huge bottles but I liked it so much I gave up Makers Mark. Nothing more Texas than some Whataburger and some Whiskey , well except drinking and eating the whataburger on a horse .

    Kavalan Vinho Barique

Voted world best single malt 2015. I thought it has similar profile with Balcones. Need a drop of water to enjoy in my opinion. Some said an ice cube would be best! Fig, caramelized, very dark juice.

    Distilled in Taiwan.

    Expensive?

Been drinking a lot of whiskey while smoking cigars lately.

    What kind, cigar?

Not as expensive as your Pappy. 1/3 to be exact. I had guests came over last night. They agreed that an ice cube is better as it's strong, 106 ;-) Smell so good tho.....matured in both red and white wine casks.

This. I wasn’t blown away by Pappy, but most of the Wellers I enjoy (as the poor man’s pappy). I’ll have to try the Antique! Thanks for the tip.

KA VA LAN is without a doubt one of the best whiskeys ive ever had. If i could find it here in florida, its the only whisky id ever buy again.

I've heard, haven't tried, the Concert Master is really good but the Classic is good as well. I love it, the Classic, when it's chilled. Weird I know but pretty good.

Don't know if you guys like rum but this one is pretty nice with a cigar if you add some water. I prefer bourbon but wanted to try a rum pairing out:

If you enjoy Old Fashioneds, check out Black Walnut Bitters. Fantastic.

I’ve also started making my own simple syrup from dark brown sugar. Tasty modification to traditional simple syrup (plain sugar based).
